The public open house for the Atlanta Temple will take place April 9 – 23, 2011. Tickets will be available beginning Monday, March 21, 2011 on-line at www.lds.org/reservations, or by calling 1-866-537-8457. Tours of the temple are free and open to everyone. However, reservations are required.
The Atlanta Temple was first open for public tours in May of 1983 after construction was complete. It is customary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to invite the community inside its temples for an open house before they are dedicated for worship.
The Temple has recently gone through major interior renovations giving the public another opportunity to visit for a limited time. Following the open house, the Temple will once again be dedicated and closed to the general public.
